Professor Clark received a Bachelor of Social Work from Marygrove College in 2003, and a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University in 2004. Her MSW concentration was Clinical Social Work with an emphasis on violence and the resulting issues of posttraumatic stress disorder, dissociative identity disorder, anxiety, and depression. In 2007, she co-founded Miles & Clark Counseling, an agency that specializes in treating ex-offenders as well as survivors of domestic violence, child abuse, rape, incest and road rage – and at that agency she also served as a Field Supervisor for the Marygrove BSW program. From 2007-2011, she taught as an adjunct faculty member for the Oakland Community College Mental Health/Social Work program. She began teaching at Marygrove as an Adjunct Professor in Winter 2011. In Fall 2011, she became the Social Work program’s first full time Advisor and Recruiter. She is also currently charged with developing the Social Work Buddy Program. In the community, Professor Clark serves as a member of and consultant for the Macomb County Domestic Violence Council.
